Located within walking distance of The University of Alabama at Birmingham, Lucy’s Coffee & Tea served UAB Hospital and Campus for 27 years before closing due to the pandemic. This locally owned coffee shop was a friendly hangout with a cozy atmosphere full of retro furnishings and local art on display. The retro-style menu featured a custom illustration of the owner, Lucy Bonds, and quirky t-shirts were a popular purchase that served as additional marketing, especially around campus.
